As a Laboratory Assistant I, you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including receiving and sorting specimens, cleaning and sanitizing lab equipment and performing basic lab tests. In addition, you will carry out essential clerical duties along with patient queries.

Graduation from a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program which includes specimen handling and phlebotomy is required. Computer and keyboarding skills are required.Preferred Qualifications:
Meditech LIS experience preferred. Medical Terminology and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Ability to understand and follow instruction and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to operate a computer to input patient data. Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff members and personnel from other departments in a fast pace changing.
