The Shipping Clerk is responsible for efficiently and accurately coordinating the shipping of customer orders.
Build outbound truck loads, ensuring appropriate freight allocation to maximize freight utilization and balance
Cross-check all confirmed shipping sets for accuracy.
Adheres to customer service commitments.
Welcome the customers who are making pick up.
Take the appointment with customers who are requesting one.
Keep updated the appointment schedule for incoming loads (Excel file on the network).
Prepare orders to be shipped by courier and complete the appropriate bill.
Execute the print (from JDE) for bill of lading and purchase order reception.
Communicate with the Inside Sales reps for customer pick up and to modify existing sales orders.
Prepare loading documents to be given to the truck driver.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent organizational skills
Aptitude for details and solid math skills
Minimum two years’ related experience
Working experience with invoices, pick slips and manifests
Professional telephone skills required with emphasis on customer service
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
Able to communicate effectively with internal staff and work in a team-focused environment
Education: High school diploma
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, overtime available

Hours of Work
Typically Monday to Friday
Day shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
