Manual Machine Operator Jobs Vacancy in International Visual Corporation Montréal Jobs Details:
Machines, inspects and produces manufactured product per operating procedures and instructions; uses drill presses, table saws, routers, buffing, sanding and edge finishing machines, etc to produce required parts.
Performs set-ups and produces designated quantities as indicated on the work order.
Loads, aligns, performs set-up and operates machines per drawing instructions.
Performs unloads; conducts quality checks on parts produced; deburrs castings/parts, as required.
Completes first-offs and ensures accuracy with master sample.
Maintains records of production (part scans/quality control forms); prepares daily production reports.
Applies identification labels to finished parts.
Maintains quality and quantity with a strong sense of accountability and high standards.
Maintains clean and orderly work area; maintains own and departmental housekeeping standards.
Follows all safety procedures.
Assists Production Manager as needed.
Candidate must be willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
High school diploma and one-year certificate from college/ technical school or completion of a machining program.
One year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ideal candidate will have a good work history with mechanical ability and willingness to learn.
Previous experience working on table saws, drill press, routers, grinding, polishing, sanding, buffing, edge finishing machinery, etc.
Ability to machine plastic, wood, metal parts to close tolerances.
Knowledge of machining methods, cutting tools, cutting qualities of plastics, wood and metals and overall manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated ability in the use of micrometers, vernier calipers, overhead crane and hand tools.
Ability to accurately use and read measuring tools such as caliper to 0.001”, tape measure, machinists square.
Strong numeracy skills; proficient use of shop math.
Ability to read and comprehend technical / CAD drawings, work from layouts and dimensions on drawings, using indicators, height gauges, etc.
Good time management skills and are capable of meeting deadlines with strong results; ability to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail; strong communication skills both oral and written.
Solid understanding of safe working practices.
Hourly Wages will be negotiable depending on experience. We offer industry leading compensation and benefits package including RRSP with 3% company match.
